Scenic Trips & Whitewater Trips
Join us on a river adventure that is sure to be the highlight of your summer vacation!

It's hard to resist the allure of a river. Its peaceful pools are relaxing, its whitewater is exhilarating!
A day on the river offers solitude, friendship and regeneration.

Beartooth Whitewater offers daily river adventures on the unspoiled Stillwater and Yellowstone Rivers. Our trips combine scenic floats with exciting whitewater in an area unequalled for its beauty. Wildlife is abundant along the shores of these two rivers and the views of Montana's snowcapped mountain ranges are incredible.

Beartooth Whitewater is the only company that allows you to experience three different rivers on your 17 mile trip! Beartooth Whitewater is Yellowstone counties first and most experienced rafting company. Nominated for an Emmy Award for our film on whitewater rafting. AAA rated with an excellent safety record, as featured on national TV. Our river guides are experienced professionals who especially enjoy introducing first-time river runners to whitewater that is "exciting but not frightening".

Experience three different rivers on this 17 mile, 3 hour trip
Whitewater Rafting
We put in above the Rosebud River, where the Stillwater runs small and crystal clear. This alpine stream gains intensity as it rushes downward toward the Yellowstone River. We ride the highest volume section on the river, where the one sided canyon creates a series of waves and whitewater rapids. Back upstream the snow capped Absaroka-Beartooth Mountains are frequently in view. As the Stillwater flows into the Yellowstone River, the size triples. This is a great family trip!

Scenic Mountain View
Part of the excitement of this adventure is the journey getting there. Departing from Red Lodge we follow the historic Meeteetse Trail, the original stagecoach route connecting Red Lodge to Cody, Wyoming. Buffalo Bill and Calamity Jane traveled this beautiful and rugged trail on horseback and wagon, whereas you will be traveling in the comfort and safety of a 4-wheel drive vehicle. Our journey takes us to the mouth of the spectacular Clarks Fork Canyon where a BBQ lunch is prepared along the banks of the Clarks Fork River. Experience wildlife in its natural habitat as we pass beside a Golden Eagle nest. Beartooth Whitewater is the only company permitted to raft the Clarks Fork which has been officially designated as one of America's wild and scenic rivers.
